Special Ability: The blade can be used to easily manipulate hikariton chakra without melting in the process. Ordinary blades will weaken if not break, when exposed to the superheated chakra, and so this sword is made to withstand that. The chakra can be manipulated and used in the same way as the samurai saber technique, but to a more damaging extent thanks to the hikariton chakra. While the ability is active Sumizome can perform powerful high damaging strikes to his opponents, as well as lengthen the blade, or create various other weapons from it. When he is under attack, he can spin the blade above his head to create a small dome of chakra to protect him from attacks, this dome is very powerful and can easily protect him from attacks that are A rank or below. When he swings the blade, he can release superheated blades of light from the sword. These can be very damaging and can be used for a surprise attack. For example, if he were to attack his enemy, and they were to block the blade, he could release a blade of hikariton chakra to attack the enemy. This makes fighting him really dangerous. (Each blade costs 2CP)  Cost 10 CP to activate. Active for 8 posts. Cooldown for 5 posts.

The blade also has a latent ability, it is made to get used to the users chakra signature, to pass the blade on the user has to remove their chakra from the weapon completely or else it will harm the person who takes it by heating up and burning the persons hands. This prevents the blade from being used against the wielder.  


Drawback: Since the blade is so large, it can be very awkward for an inexperienced person to wield. It can also be a burden to carry around while traveling; although Sumizome carries it in a scroll. Also, even though the blade is made up of a light material, since there is so much of it, it still is quite heavy. It weighs 56 pounds in total, which is lighter than one would expect, but it is still considerably heavy.

Durability: The blade itself is almost literally unbreakable. It can withstand extremely high temperatures. Since it is so large it can also double as a shield to protect from enemy attacks. The handle and guard are made up of a mixture of iron and steel to they can be broken if stressed too much.

Alloy/Substance: Unknown. It is a very light and very dense material that is resistant to extremely high temperatures.

Background: Akurai Satsujin is a blade that has been passed down through Sumizome's family (Not Clan) for generations now. The blade was made from a material that was found sunken in the waters of a large river; fished out of the waters by Sumizome's great great grandfather. His great great grandfather, being a warrior of the land of iron, tested this metal and found it extremely surprising what this metal was capable of. Even though it was extremely light, it was stronger than steel and had a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. The man decided to use this metal to create a blade; this proved to be a challenge. Since the blade was so dense, Sumizome's great great grandfather had to use a diamond-tipped hammer to forge the blade. The heating process was also a bother, as it had to be exposed to intense fire for more than a week before it could be properly folded. As he made the sword, he started to infuse the blade with his Hikariton chakra, allowing it to absorb said chakra through the blade quite easily. In all, the forging of the blade took 4 months to complete.
